| Established to provide cash awards to deserving students who wish to become military pilots. | |

| Eligible are students who are attending an accredited 4-year college or university and who have demonstrated the desire and potential to become a commissioned military pilot, flight crew member, astronaut, or career officer in disciplines supporting aeronautics or astronautics. Usually, students in ROTC unites of all services apply to local chapters (Flights) of Daedalian; if the Flight awards a scholarship, the application is forwarded to the Daedalian Foundation for one of these matching scholarships. Selection is based on intention to pursue a career as a military pilot, demonstrated moral character and patriotism, scholastic and military standing and aptitude, and physical condition and aptitude for flight and space. Additional eligibility criteria may be set by a Flight Scholarship Selection Board. | |
