The Evans’ endowed gift to the National Housing Endowment, the philanthropic arm of the National Association of Home Builders, created the scholarship fund to assist in addressing the pressing need for educating and training construction managers in the residential building industry. Their vision to establish a permanent source of scholarship funding to assist promising students entering the field of residential construction management has helped students nationwide achieve their career goals.

You may download the application materials from the website as either a Microsoft® Word file that you can complete on your computer or as a PDF file that may be printed and used the same as the hard copy document. The applicant must be registered as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student for the Fall term and have at least one full academic year of course work remaining after the scholarship is awarded (Note: Students who will be a fifth year senior during the award year are NOT eligible). High school seniors are not eligible to apply. The applicant must demonstrate an interest in obtaining employment in the residential construction industry upon graduation. Preference will be given to students who are current members (or will be a member in the upcoming semester) of a student chapter of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) with both A) elected officers and B) a demonstrated program of activities. Students whose school does not have a chapter are still welcome to apply. Preference will be given to students enrolled in a four-year program emphasizing construction management. All portions of the application must be completed and submitted – see Application Preparation or the Application Checklist for further information. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all portions of the application are received by the deadline. Applications received after the deadline may not be considered.
