| This program is open to students who have completed their sophomore or junior year of college. Applicants may be residents of any state attending an accredited college or university anywhere in the United States. They must be planning a career in horticulture or a related field, including horticultural therapy. U.S. citizenship is required. Preference is given to applicants whose horticultural career goals involve teaching or research or work in the public or nonprofit sector. Selection is based on an essay that includes a description of their interests, activites, and achievements; an account of their employment record on or off campus; a description of their career goals; and a discussion of their need for financial aid. | |
