| This program is open to students between the ages of 12 and 18. Applicants must submit photographs that illustrate the concept of freedom. Selection is based on effectiveness in expressing the theme of ”speak up for democracy and diversity;” quality of the photo’s design, including its composition, use of ambient light, and focusing; originality in approach to characterizing Americans speaking up for democracy and diversity or other depicitions of democracy and diversity in action; and creativity in executing the image. | |
