| Explorer Scholarship applicants must have been an active member in a Dallas Police Department Law Enforcement Explorer Post at least two years prior to the beginning of the semester in which the applicant will enroll, be under 23 years old, and maintain eligibility for employment as a police officer (including no drug use or criminal activity). Students must also agree to complete a minimum of 9 credit hours, earn a minimum 2.0 GPA the first semester and a minimum 2.5 GPA every semester thereafter. Students meeting these requirements can receive either a $100 honorary scholarship for the first semester, if there is no financial need or a full scholarship up to $500 for students having a financial need and taking 12 or more semester hours. | |
