| The Digestive Health Specialists Scholarship was established in 2010 by the physicians of Digestive Health Specialists, P.A. to provide scholarships to the children and grandchildren of the employees of Digestive Health Specialists. Employees must have a minimum of two years of employment with Digestive Health Specialists as of March 31 for the academic year under consideration. The scholarship may initially provide one $500 non-renewable award for a student who will pursue a degree from an accredited two or four-year post-secondary institution, including a college or university, an accredited vocational/technical school, or a community college. | To receive consideration, applicants must: • be seeking a two or four-year degree or be enrolled in a program leading to a certificate or diploma • attend an accredited North Carolina school pursuing healthcare education such as, but not limited to, registered nursing, licensed practical nursing, nuclear medicine, radiography, and respiratory therapy • have a high school/college cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 for all healthcare programs • provide an acceptance letter for the enrolled program • demonstrate financial need (not restricted to lowest incomes) | |
