| This scholarship was established in February, 1996 in honor of William H. and Lena M. Petree. It is the intent of the William H. and Lena M. Petree Trust to provide college scholarships for worthy Forsyth County residents. Recipients must be well-rounded individuals who demonstrate significant promise in academics, leadership, community and school service. Each $5,000 scholarship is to be applied to the cost of tuition and fees and will be awarded for four (4) consecutive years depending upon continued completion of eligibility requirements. The Winston-Salem Foundation Scholarship Committee in its sole discretion will be responsible for determining the number and size of scholarships each year | |
