Description:
The Douglas Gray Kimel Scholarship was established by Calvary Moravian Church in 2007 to honor Doug Kimel’s service in the area of music ministry. The establishment of the scholarship coincided with Kimel’s retirement after more than 60 years of dedicated service within the Moravian Church. The scholarship may provide a $500 non-renewable award for students who will pursue full-time undergraduate degrees in music from accredited post-secondary institutions. Scholarships will be applied to the cost of undergraduate (in some cases graduate school) tuition, fees, on-campus room and board, books and other college expenses.
Additional Information
To receive consideration, applicants must: • pursue a degree in music • demonstrate a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 from their most recent grade transcript • demonstrate financial need, but not restricted to lowest family incomes • be residents of Forsyth County • be Moravian, preferably • be studying to enter a church-related vocation, preferably
