This scholarship is sponsored by the National Science Foundation. The eligible degree programs include: Aerospace Engineering, Bio-Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Textile and Fiber Engineering, School of Mathematics, and Computer Science.

There is a minimum GPA needed to recieve this award:
Freshmen - 2.0
Sohpomore - 2.3
Junior - 2.4
Senior - 2.6

Applicant must submit a Georgia Tech application, FAFSA, and the NSF-FAST application. Selection is based on need, academic record, essay and resume of activities, and participation in seminars and mentoring programs.

FAST participants work with a faculty mentor to develop academic and career plans, and to help other awardees. All awardees participate in helping to assess, document and improve the program’s success.
