| Prerequisites: Be a direct descendant of a 100th Infantry Battalion World War II Veteran. The burden of proof is the applicant's responsibility. If the club cannot verify the name of the veteran as a member of the WWII 100th Infantry Battalion, the applicant must be ready to provide alternate proof. Illustrate a willingness to promote the legacy of the 100th Infantry Battalion of World War II. Demonstrate academic achievement, minimum GPA of 3.5. Attend an accredited two-or-four year college or university as a undergraduate or graduate student. Be a full-time student (12 credits undergraduate, 6-9 credits graduate). | To qualify for this scholarship an applicant must be a graduating, high school senior from the state of Hawaii who will attend an institution of higher learning. Applicants of the 100th Infantry Battalion Memorial Scholarship may apply. However, only one award will be made per student. Past recipients of scholarships from the 100th Infantry Battalion Veteran’s Organization or the 100th Infantry Battalion Legacy Organization are ineligible. Questions of eligibility should be directed to Attention Scholarship committee via e-mail: [email protected] of the 100th Infantry Battalion Legacy Organization. Instructions: 1. Submit your signed application form by March. 2. Submit an official high school transcript. 3. Submit two letters of recommendation. One letter must be from a teacher. The other letter must come from a community leader such as a non-profit agency supervisor, an employer, or a volunteer supervisor, etc. 4. Type or print the requested information in blue or black ink. 5. Do not attach or include anything that is not requested such as a photo or non-related essays or materials. 6. Do not submit items which you want returned. All application materials are confidential and nothing will be returned. Application materials must be postmarked by March 5.
