| Dr. Owens is a charter faculty member of Golden West College and began his campus career as Athletic Director. He was instrumental in establishing the college’s intercollegiate sports and was Vice President of Administrative Services for nine years. This scholarship was established upon his retirement by his colleagues, friends, and former students in appreciation of his 30 years of service. | |
