| Applicants must use an augmentative communication device or other technology-based alternative to oral communication. Eligible communication devices and systems may range along a continuum from simple picture boards to highly complex computer-based systems. Applicants must be planning to enroll for the first time in full-time postsecondary education and be able to document financial need. They must submit a 250-word statement of philosophical, educational, and occupational goals as part of the application process. Selection is based on academic achievement, ability, promise, and financial need. | |
