The Linda Cowden Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Linda who died in July 2004 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the administrative assistant and League liaison to area Deaf clubs for more than 10 years.
Additional Information
The Linda Cowden Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship of $1,000 that will be awarded to: a Deaf/HoH person who has been accepted into a program to continue his or her education past the high school level, academically, or vocationally or; a hearing person who has been accepted into a program leading to a profession serving the Deaf or hard of hearing communities. The applicants must live in one of the 16 counties of Tennessee that LDHH/EF serves (Cheatham, Davidson, Dekalb, Dickson, Houston, Macon, Maury, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, and Wilson Counties).
