| Every summer, 30 promising Latino undergraduates from across the country are selected for an eight-week program in the nation’s capital, which includes domestic round-trip transportation to Washington, DC and Summer housing. If selected, the student must do the following: Work 36 hours a week in a congressional office assignment, participate in all CHCI-sponsored activities, attend weekly leadership development sessions, participate in a community service project, submit a research paper at the end of the internship, and comply with CHCI policies regarding work performance and personal conduct. To be eligible, the student must be a currently enrolled undergraduate students, have strong communication skills, and be a U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident. | |
