Additional Information
•Be of Hispanic heritage •Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States with a valid Social Security Number at the time of application. All legal permanent residents must submit a copy of their valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired) •Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale •Be a full-time sophomore, junior or senior •Must be majoring in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering •Preference will be given to students at the following universities ◦Colorado School of Mines ◦Lamar University ◦Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College ◦New Mexico State University ◦Stanford University ◦Texas A&M, College Station ◦Texas Tech University ◦University of Florida ◦University of Houston, Main Campus ◦University of Oklahoma ◦University of Texas, Austin ◦University of Texas, El Paso ◦University of Texas, Pan American •Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
