| Established to assist students whose families are members of the National Foster Parent Association and who are interested in attending college or vocational school. | |

| This program is open to students who are in foster care at the time of application; are entering the first year of college or its equivalent (including vocational school, job training, correspondence studies, or GED work); and reside with an association member family. Adopted children and birth children of foster parents are also eligible. Students entering a college or university must be high school seniors (regardless or age); students entering vocational or equivalent training must be at least 17 years of age, whether in or out of school. All applicants must submit a statement (300 to 500 words) on why they want to further their education and why they should be considered for this scholarship. Financial need is considered in the selection process. | |
