The Mark J. Smith Scholarship is based on academics and financial need. Applicants must display financial need, and special consideration will be given to applicants who either come from a single parent background, or are attending college as a single parent. Due to the restrictions of Colorado Constitutional Amendment 41, the Educational Foundation cannot award scholarships to public officers, members of the Colorado General Assembly, local government officials, government employees, or their spouses or dependent children. These restrictions may not apply to certain home rule counties or home rule municipalities. HOW TO APPLY 1. Complete the application, adding additional pages as needed. 2. Submit an official transcript from the school in which you are currently enrolled that includes your cumulative overall grade point average and calculate your cumulative accounting grade point average. Applications without transcripts will not be considered. (No two-sided documents please.) 3. Return the application and required attachments to the CSCPA no later than June 1 for fall quarter or semester. Applications will not be considered without all required information. Scholarship recipients are required to submit their student ID number or social security number prior to processing payment. The scholarship application is on the CSCPA website.
