| In 2003, friends and loved ones of Grant Wheeler established this scholarship to provide financial assistance to graduating seniors of high schools within a 30-mile radius of Waterloo, Iowa, who have actively participated in running sports/track or cross country. | |

| To be eligible for the Grant Wheeler Scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria: •Be enrolled at a high school within a 30-mile radius of Waterloo, Iowa, including, but not limited to, the following schools: •Aplington-Parkersburg •Cedar Falls •Denver •Dike-New Hartford •Don Bosco •Dunkerton •Gladbrook-Reinbeck •Grundy Center •Hudson •Janesville •Jesup •North Tama •Union-La Porte City •Wapsie Valley •Waterloo •Waverly-Shell Rock •Demonstrate the qualities of encouragement, character, faith in God and love through a spirit of humility and self-discipline, and a strong desire to enhance their education. NOTE: The above criteria are of greater importance than the student's grade point average. | |
