| The Georgia Police Corps is a federally funded, law enforcement assistance program operated in the State of Georgia by the Georgia Public Safety Training Center. The long-range goal of the program is to address violent crime by increasing the number of law enforcement officers with advanced education and training. College scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to college students who agree to serve as law enforcement officers, assigned to community patrol positions, for a minimum of four years after graduation. | |
