Scholarships are provided by the Hawai’i Community Foundation. This fund memorializes E.E. Black, chairman and president of The Gas Company, now Tesoro Hawai'i. He is credited with revitalizing the company which was in danger of failing when he took charge. To recognize Mr. Black\'s numerous contributions, Tesoro\'s then board of directors established this fund in his honor. The scholarships go to dependents of employees at Tesoro Hawai'i

Applicant must be a dependent of an employee of Tesoro Hawai‘i or its subsidiaries. Must have a 3.0 GPA.
