Established to provide financial assistance to high school seniors in Ohio who are interested in majoring in engineering in college.
Additional Information
This program is open to high school seniors in Ohio who will be attending a college or university in the state that is approved by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) and who plan to major in engineering. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, be U.S. citizens, and have SAT scores of at least 600 in mathematics and 500 in verbal or ACT scores of at least 29 in mathematics and 25 in English. Along with their application, they must submit a 350-word essay on their interest in engineering, including why they became interested in the field, what specialty interests them most, and why they want to become a practicing engineer. Financial need is also considered.
