Established to recognize and reward talented young musicians from southern states.
Additional Information
This competition is open to musicians in junior and senior high school who reside in and attend school in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Students of strings, winds, brass, percussion, and piano are eligible to enter. Acceptable music for the competition includes one movement from any work in the standard concerto repertoire. Memorization is preferred bu not required.
