| The Dallas County Community College District and its Foundation believe that cost should not stop anyone form getting a college education. The Rising Star Scholarship is currently available to recent graduates of any Dallas Public High School and/or Dallas CAN. The scholarship pays for a full two-year college education - worth $2,200, including tuition, fees and books - at any of the Dallas County Community Colleges. To be eligible, students must have recently graduated from one of the Dallas Pubic High Schools and/or Dallas CAN, demonstrated a financial need, and graduated in the top 40% of their high school (roughly a ”B” average) - OR pass the TASP test or DCCCD alternative assessment test before enrolling in college courses. | |
