| Women may not apply for this award; they must be nominated by a member of the mathematical community. The nominee may be at any level in her undergraduate career. Selection is based on the quality of the student’s performance in advanced mathematics courses and special programs, evidence of a real interest in mathematics, and an ability to work independently. Performance in local and national mathematics competitions is also considered. | |
